Another of there few locations remaining around Orlando, the only positive about this store is that it is busier then the other locations near by and that it is located in a good area, two stars because they are open till midnight(use to be 24hrs) but same deal as all other locations:bad costumer service and horrible produce and the meat or seafood are bad.I would not buy much here, better across the street at Publix.

Love Albertsons! Always so clean and employes are always so helpful. Reasonable prices and some great sales. I'm from Chicago and they are the parent company of one of the grocery stores there. It was a little slice of home. I was sad to hear that this is the only one left in the area

Living in Sanford, I don't get to this store every week, but if I'm in the area I'll check the sales online. Their sale prices are typically the best-yesterday, got 93/7 ground beef for 3.99 a pound at the butcher counter, where the meat manager packed 3 separate 1 lb packages for me. Then found store brand canned veggies for .39 a can, and a 24 pack of niagra water for 2.00. This store will accept $5 off $30 coupon from the national "enjoy the city" coupon books, even though the coupon specifically states it's for their stores out west. Lastly, I purchased some taco bowls that had a sign saying they were on sale for 4.99, normally 6.99. In the parking lot, I saw that I had been charged full price for these. The girl at customer service checked the price and acknowledged the sale sign; I asked her if the sign was outdated, and she said no, that somehow it hadn't been input into the computer...then she handed me back the full 6.99 since they were at fault. That's customer service!

I don't always shop at Albertson (in fact, I almost never these days that they're down to so few stores), but when I do, I go ga-ga for goo-goo deals like this wine I had in my photo. (I need to upload the picture) It was a Rosenblum for $6, with a $1 off coupon hanging on every bottle, not to mention a 10% half-case discount. Since I started telling all my neighbors about it, I may or may not have gotten a visit from the sheriff's office for promoting alcoholism. AA doesn't have my picture in the center of a bull's eye. Quite the opposite: I'm rumored to be in the running for "Man of the Year", since guys like me keep them growing strong.

Oh, Albertson's - How I miss you! The majority of our stores in Tampa have closed and this is one of the few remaining in Orlando. Love their breads - particularly the pretzel rolls/hoagie buns. They also have some killer deals. I had to buy a package of Cowboy Cookies for nostalgia sake. I really missed these delicious oatmeal, chocolate and nut concoctions.

One of the last Albertson's in the area, located in Altamonte Springs near the Altamonte mall, at the the Palm Springs stoplight. I ended up here several times over the holidays stocking up on floral, liquor and pantry goods. This location is less crowded than Publix, cheaper than Publix and the selection was fine. Meat counter is nice, especially if you are looking for nice cuts at good prices. Some of the specials can be a bit gimmicky, but if you price shop you can get some great deals. (You don't need to buy one get one free, which are marked higher, in the special section- just buy a single package in the regular section) My family enjoyed a nice Angus pot roast, for less than the regular (not Angus) chuck at Publix. Thick cut, beautiful quality and similar to what I would have bought for much higher elsewhere. Liquor and wine can have some great deals between sales, hang tags and discounts on multiple bottles. Lastly, there is a very sweet lady in the large floral department who treats every bunch of flowers like she were giving them personally. And, great prices on the premium floral arrangements and bunches.

I used to shop the Albertsons in Oviedo before it closed. Then the Albertsons in Winter Park. I still make the trip to Altamonte to shop that Albertsons - but it's a bit of a haul, so not as often. Albertsons is easily the best all-round supermarket in Central Florida. Their quality is as good as any and their prices are better than most. I sure don't understand why Publix is a "leader" and Albertsons is not - the quality of each is about the same - but Publix is a lot more expensive. Aldis is generally cheaper, but the selection is more limited and the quality of most items is lower. Walmart is probably on par in terms of quality, and pretty close in price. (I notice none of the Walmart price comparison ads mention Albertsons - probably because Walmart wouldn't win.) But Walmart doesn't have employees as knowledgeable about groceries, so if you ever have a question - good luck! And if you're buying anything listed in Albertson's weekly mailer -well, let's just say that Walmart doesn't want to honor "competitor's prices" that are that low. Seriously, last time I was buying ice cream on sale at Walmart using the Albertsons "advertised price" they told me they weren't going to accept Albertsons prices anymore! Why would they do that, unless they considered the discount (more than 35%!) too much? In summary: Aldis: Cheapest, but quality is lower Publix: Most expensive, but no advantage in quality Walmart: Good prices and quality, but robo-staffing Albertsons: Good prices, Excellent Quality, Friendly and Knowledgeable Staff.
